SUMMARY:The soul of places
DESCRIPTION:September 24 – November 20\, 2022  \nLucrezia Minerva solo exhibition\n“The Soul of Places” is an exhibition composed by artworks created by Minerva Lucrezia\nfrom 2018 to today.\nThe exhibition explores and investigates the identity of the soul by extending it to places.\nA place is intended not only as a strictly physical one but it is considered by its relationship between ‘inside’ and ‘outside’\, between micro and macro.\nThe artist does not violate the entity of the place and composes SAC space conceiving it as a large (macro) envelope of smaller (micro) environments.\nThe overall minimal composition conveys the idea of order\, the idea of an empty place\, and at the same time of an intense and disorganized activity that develops inside the place.\nThe installation ‘In’ and ‘Out’ (2022) was created to continue the visually and spatially investigation of the central theme of the exhibition: the interconnection between external and internal\, between perceiving and elaborating the primary essence of what we experience as an event\, place\, object in an intimate and personal way. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nARTIST BIOGRAPHY\nLucrezia Minerva was born in Milan in 1977\, she graduated at the Umberto Boccioni’s art high school and she attended the Polytechnic University of Architecture of Milan for two years.\nIn the following period she handled scenic design and decoration.\nHer first artworks and artistic studies started in 2017 and they were the result of converging passions and backgrounds of architecture\, photography\, painting\, philosophy\, physics\, nature and spirituality.\nThe artist inspects mystic\, philosophical\, spiritual and scientific matters that she believes they compose natural\, human and cosmic life\, she hopes for a more aware and deep vision that connects the Ego to a universal spirituality and to the nature of things.\nThe crux of Minerva’s studies consists of an existential analysis\, an incessant process of digging the human consciousness and the world perception. This analysis is transposed into her creative work.\nMinerva gives importance to the idea that typifies her work overstepping the matter formality without however losing the three conducting subjects dear to the artist. \nThe first one is represented by the contrast of black and white\, light and shadow\, instinctive gesture and control\, geometric perfection and imperfection\, repetition and singularity\, symmetry and randomness. \nAn harmonic dance between opposites.\nThe second one focuses on the relationship between space and time. The space is conceived both in a visual-technical-tangible way rendered through perspective\, multiple surfaces\, volumes\, sense of depth and in an empirical-interior-potential regarding to the “self”\, projected towards introspection\, evolution and analysis.\nTime is characterized by two polarities\, one narrating the contemporary era\, the other concerning an inner meditative transcendence which is suspended\, silent\, almost nullified.\nA relationship between outer space-time (the environment) and inner space-time (the ego).\nThe third subject is based on the idea that reality is not as it appears.\nThe artist likes to give different points of view to her artworks\, revealing new aspects or simply deepening and going beyond formal\, mental\, sensorial\, knowledge conjectures in order to broaden the horizon to other truths.\nIt is by crossing these subjects that Lucrezia Minerva investigates\, searches\, discovers and observes the Universe\, that exists inside and outside human being.\nDepending on the project or concept expressed\, the means of communication change from painting to sculpture\, installation and photography; the same happens with materials: marble\, paper\, plexiglass\, jute\, canvas\, light\, technology tools.\nCurrently\, the artist\, is working on the idea of ‘simple’\, approaching the concept of simplicity as a solved complexity. \nEXHIBITION and PRIZES\n2017 – Galata Museum\, Genova\, curated by Gabriele Buratti.\n2019 – “Beyond the visible” curated by Brerauno Gallery\, Medieval Tower\, Corbetta.\n2019 – Paratissima\, Torino.\n2019 – “Inverart” curated by Francesco Oppi and Brera Academy of Milano.\n2019 – “Beyond the shape” curated by Matteo Olivares\, Quadrifoglio Gallery\, Rho.\n2020 – “Artist’s book” curated by Francesca Mariotti\, Palazzo Scroffa\, Ferrara.\n2020 – “Mater Nostra” curated by Franco Cipriano\, Palazzo Ferrari\, Parabita (Lecce).\n2021 – “Assonances\, discrepancies\, shapes and freedom of movement at the time of the new Renaissance” curated by Claudia Migliore\, Steam Factory\, Milan. \n1° photography black and white prize for the exhibition “Who says woman”\, Vigevano.\n1° photography Prize for the exhibition “A woman’s eye behind the lens”\, Pavia.\n2015 – tecnic painting prize “Young talents for Ferrara” dedicated to Michelangelo Antonioni.\n2018 – selected for Arte Mondadori magazine “Art Price”\, Cairo Editori.\n2018 – 1° prize at Fusion Arts V edition\, sculpture section. \nCONTACT\nInstagram: lucreziaminerva\nFacebook: Lucrezia Minerva\nwww.lucreziaminerva.it

SUMMARY:Rubbish
DESCRIPTION:July 13 – July 31\, 2022  \nAnna Setola solo exhibition\n“Pattume” (”Rubbish”) is a project which collects poems written and illustrated by hand. It is my “waste sorting”\, aimed at capturing bits of my daily life in a few pages – sketched\, written or scribbled to bring order to my chaos. \nIn this book\, my hands seek to be a tad everywhere\, as much in what I say as in the way I try to say it. For this reason\, “Pattume” is entirely handwritten and contains all original erasures and corrections. Do not expect beauty from it\, it just wants to present itself as it is\, mere refuse. \nThis collection is a way to inspect my nudity\, to rummage through my things. It allows me to give voice to my hands\, and to try to look at books in a slightly different way\, perhaps more intimate\, perhaps more insolent. \n“Pattume” wants to be uncovered and smelled to express its own and my own voice\, talking not only – or not so much – about me\, but rather about what each of us feels\, both positive and negative. \nImperfection tastes a bit like ordinary life\, and that is the challenge that my project takes up. It does not claim to be beautiful or elegant\, but to talk about who we are and we could be beyond inheritance and conventions. Even if we are made of nothing but the latter\, the attempt is to look for us in constancy\, which is so much an elsewhere too.” \n– Anna Setola \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nARTIST BIOGRAPHY\nMy name is Anna\, I’m 23\, I’ve got a dog\, a family\, some friends\, and a small world on my shoulders I’m trying to manage; in addition to a series of small other things.\nArt has always bent my back and wrecked my feet\, I started to appreciate art in my high school years.\nArt school let me experiment with techniques and learn about art and different ways to live it.\nYet that constant and continuous coexistence also leads to forgetting the necessity and produces a form of suffering and intolerance.\nThis is the reason why\, after high school\, I chose to continue my experimentation in the creative field without attending an art school\, I instead studied philosophy.\n“Art” is a word that is almost everywhere\, I believe\, from Caravaggio’s paintings to cigarette butts: it is more in the eyes than in the works.\nAnd art is human\, so human\, a roommate with a difficult character who rents skulls and rib cages here and there.\n“Art” is someone and not something. It’s her\, it’s not me.\nShe was my companion and dialogue during the quarantines: it was from our solitude and collaboration that “Rubbish” was born.\nShe dictated new words to me that sounded strange and that I accepted with submissiveness.\nOther words were ancient and had already been home. She mixed them and collected images that had fallen my way\, until finally build a small journey\, trying to be sincere in what simply and roughly we are together. \nCONTACT\nInstagram: enne.esse22\nhttps://www.behance.net/annasetola22

SUMMARY:The dance of seasons
DESCRIPTION:May 7 – June 25\, 2022  \nVittorio Iavazzo solo exhibition\nOur biological cycle is part of nature as seasons are too\, and it is dictated by nature itself throughout time passing\, climate change and biodiversity that surrounds us. \nIn this solo exhibition Vittorio Iavazzo narrates the cycle of seasons not from a merely climatic point of view\, but describing it like “Seasons of the Soul”. \nEach man flutters during different phases of life\, since when he was born\, during his growth\, untill he dies. The rhythm of this dance is dictated by several ups and downs and the artist describes its notes using his draw to capture a range of emotions on a white piece of paper. \nSeasons of life are also influenced by our will and by our everyday choices. \nMan might reborn in spring as sprouts surrounded by tarmac and flowers from branches of a huge tree\, without surrendering to cold winter. \nMan can choose to shut himself in his own world waiting for spring to come or to face winter as a good farmer\, seeding for the next crop\, in order to embrace again the sun of the upcoming season. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nARTIST BIOGRAPHY\nVittorio Iavazzo was born in 1991 in Naples. SUMMARY:Tribute to Elio Bona
DESCRIPTION:For Elio Bona\, painting has always been a matter of urgency\, not confined to a single technique. Watercolour\, however\, is the technique that is most used by the artist. Its characteristics make it “difficult” to work with because it does not allow for second thoughts. However this particular quality\, instead of increasing the value\, is often linked to the reductive concept of fast execution\, suitable at most for studies or sketches. For the artist\, however\, it is a technique that is not only complete but also exciting: indeed\, if anything\, it forces them to think first or to be in such a state of grace that no rethinking is necessary. The colour is delivered once\, by adding water to it\, loading or modifying it as the brush fills the spaces identified by the outline of a pencil: in doing so\, ensuring that it dries denser in some areas rather than others\, that it is uniform or enhanced with different shades. \n“My watercolours are all executed based on the real not to represent\, not to describe or even suggest\, but only to express the wish that every place\, every detail depicted\, is as it is depicted\, and remain as such forever\, and that the sum of my places and those details would become the world”. \nThe exhibition aims to pay tribute to the career of Elio Bona through a number of pieces that testify to his long and heterogeneous artistic path: from the 1960s to the 2000s\, from landscapes to architecture\, from the human figure to his characteristic watercolours that depict colourful and dreamlike fantasy scenes. \nIt is an exhibition to celebrate a man who has certainly left his mark on the history of Robecchetto con Induno and neighbouring municipalities\, as well as in the memory of people who\, over the years\, have known and appreciated Elio as an architect\, artist and\, above all\, as a friend.

SUMMARY:Wolrds / Visions of the future
DESCRIPTION:January 15 – April 3\, 2022 \nDiego Asperges solo exhibition \nThe art exhibition “Worlds” materialises an outer vision instructed by elements both of reality and imagination. These elements sink their roots into important concempts such as sustainability and awareness of the current and evolutionary planet stages.  \n“Worlds” revolves around this question: “Has the current physical Earth condition been ascribed to the extreme exploitation of the planet resources or to the cyclic nature of the Earth physical alteration as it happened in previous ages?”.  \nThe artist creates his art pieces pushed by this dilemma throughout a dreamlike journey\, fully releasing his expressive talent.  \nThe doable scenario that crosses the timeline from past to future has multiple facets that turn into the multiple terrestrial and alien globes wisely depicted by Asperges.  \nEnigmatic dumb monoliths rise above the scene\, driving the spectator throughout an immersive path of the artist’ world.  \nPlanet systems seem to be sustained by a precarious balance\, they fluctuate\, they brush against each other\, they light up reverberating their inner energy. These planet systems interchange with black holes which are gates used to cross space and time wall and to enter a parallel world in order to discover its peculiarities.  \n \nARTIST BIOGRAPHY\nDiego Asperges was born in Milan in april 22\, 1958. His family has always been related to art. His great-grandfather\, Guglielmo Da Re\, was a renowned painter and his father\, Italo\, was a miniaturist sculptor. \nDiego studied at Brera Art Academy and he started working in 1985 joining his father’s art laboratory. He focused on malleable materials in order to produce bronze and silver objects. He created prototypes for famous companies\, artists and international fashion brands. \nHe owned a detailed academic drawing know-how combined with a remarkable creativity. He became an eminent miniaturist sculptor. He focuses on resin sculpting.  He creates his own art since 2010\, when D.A.Arte by Diego Asperges was established as an association to pass down Diego’s Art. \nDiego’s artworks\, shown through “Free Expression” Exhibition at SAC\, depict the stylistic evolution of the artist that goes from the representation of a human being typified by android features to the depiction of current events like immigration\, ecology\, politics and virtual reality. A consideration that extends from the individual to the whole humanity. \nNatural and artificial landscapes are the setting of a not-edifying human intervention. Every good is produced\, exhausted and rejected in order to satisfy a temporary pleasure\, the natural rhythm is substituted by a chaotic anxiety that unsuccessfully tries to influence the unchangeable time flow. \nEXHIBITION\n2012 – Time of men\, solo exhibition at Villa Fumagalli-Principe\, Lugano\, Switzerland.\n2014 – Art in comparison\, collective exhibition at Spazio Papel\, Milan.\n2015 – collective exhibition for the great opening of Villa Plinia community\, Solzago di Tavernierio (Como).\n2017 – solo exhibition at Superstudio Più\,  during “Salone del Mobile” event in Milan.\n2019 – Free Expression\, collective exhibition at SAC Spazio Arte Contemporanea\, Robecchetto con Induno (MI).\n2021 – artist retrospective on Recycling Environment Sustainability\, Palazzo Bocconi\, Milan. \nCONTACT\nwww.diegoasperges.com\ndiegoasperges

SUMMARY:Levitating / Suspensions
DESCRIPTION:October 30 – December 19 2021\nFrancesco Damiani solo exhibition \nThe organic sculptures of Francesco Damiani stretch out towards the space creating a dialogue with the spectator. The ensemble of full and empty volumes tells a story\, it tells both intimate and far tales.  \nThe abstraction of the subject shapes itself and goes beyond itself\, the lines become words\, the geometry becomes paragraphs reorganised into personal diaries.  \nThe sculpture comes out of the idea of its static nature and heaviness to turn into light suspensions\, made by modules that dovetail and reverberate each other\, modifying themselves in time and space.  \nThe used materials are playful in their colours and textures as they are experienced by our sight and touch. They evoke our childhood.  \nThe artist uses a large amount of cellulose and rubber dough\, the “light clay” employed by children in Orient to achieve familiarity with clay.  \nDamiani uses secondary shades to represent light through its refraction. Colours\, which are the result of a perceptual illusion\, grab the contemporary world vibrations and they infuse its tremor.  \nThe chemical studies of Damiani influence the artworks appearance with references to cellular morphology\, thin layers of organised matter and evolutionary forms that interrogate the limit between organic and living being.  \nThe sculptures integrate and perfectly conform to the surroundings\, revolutionising the space and blending with it into one\, creating novel shapes for the specific set-up.  \nThe exhibition title is inspired by the homonymous Dua Lipa’s song to refer to the pop inspiration of the artist\, revealed by colours\, playfulness and lightness of his artworks. They are so lightweight that they become alive and levitate in the air.  \nThe exhibition subheading “Suspensions” is a cross reference to Jhon Cage’s suspensions (The silence\, 1961) and refers to the chemical meaning of the word. A suspension is a dispersion\, an heterogeneous blend\, in which a solid phase with microscopic particle dimension dissolves into a dispersed liquid phase which is not able to sediment in a short period of time.  \nThe artist’s personal interpretation of the suspension is wait\, judgement postponement\, it means also the capability of being not in a rush\, to trust others and ourselves\, to concede freedom as his artworks are a freedom symbol. \n \nARTIST BIOGRAPHY\nFrancesco Damiani was born in Bari\, is now working in Emilia. He studied chemistry at Bari University and at Fiat Research Center in Torino. Art and design enthusiastic\, he attended Tam Tam school of Guerriero\, Mendini and Dalisi in Milan. He has been a collector adviser in the design field. Currently\, he dedicates himself to teaching and art. \nEXHIBITION\nI’m like you at 17\, QU4RANTAN9VE\, Reggio Emilia\, 2018.\nXXXX\, Galleria Samma\, Urbino\, 2020. \nCONTACT\nhttps://www.instagram.com/damiani.francesco1975/?hl=it\nhttps://www.francescodamianiartwork.com

DESCRIPTION:September 12 – November 15\, 2020 \nThis collective exhibition\, “Human\, theme and variations”\, focuses on the analysis of elements that characterize each individual: dream\, emotion\, the unconscious\, feelings.\nAll aspects that escape the control of contemporary man\, who cannot manage them through logic and defined rules and which nevertheless remain the only traits that characterize him\, recalling him to his nature. \n“We introduce this exhibition with the best guide tool of our time: statistics. It is with the help of its graphs that we observe humanity through its history. The graphs – demographic\, economic\, technological and so on – reveal the climax of a millennial horizontal path that suddenly suffers from a vertical surge in progressive acceleration\, apparently an unstoppable one\, which has been set in a handful of generations’ span.\nThe humanity has been collapsing into the progress acceleration up until today\, but some of its traits remain the same: dreams\, emotions\, unconscious\, feelings. \nAll these elements slide from the contemporary individual’s control\, who cannot manage them through progress logic\, rules and horizons. The same progress that alienates humanity. These traits remain the only elements that characterize each person\, recalling him back to his nature.\nThe verticalization imposed by the progress\, switches the paradigm of man’s belonging to nature\, changing it into the belonging of nature to man.\nBut the nature metamorphosis from a subject into a lifeless object entails the same destiny for humanity. An equation which can clearly be read in Stefano Invernizzi‘s artworks. \nHis arworks are based on the relationship between man and industrial products. This is not an easy equation: who is the subject and who is the object; who\, between man and object\, is provided of will and whom is the result of this will? This is unknown.\nProportion\, definition\, location of the objects represented by Stefano Invernizzi\, impose themselves on a Lilliputian humanity unaware of its position in the game of roles. \nConstantin Migliorini’s subjects are naked human bodies\, as refined as anonymous\, objectified\, confused\, placed on no perspective geometric plans\, with silhouettes of other bodies\, in an ethereal relationship\, within aurea and dreamlike textures.\nA more or less academic realism plays a contrasting role that enhances the dreamlike or surrealist narratives in the artworks of these two artists. A more direct and univocal expressive language is the one used by Giuseppe Tattarletti and Alessandro Negri.\nIn Negri’s masterful works\, created through a strong graphic accent\, Eros is set at the helm\, while Thanatos surrounds him: eroticism is explicit\, even if nothing leads to pure satisfaction. \nIn Tattarletti’s sculptures the roles of these two gods of mythology are reversed:\nthe suffering of a neglected humanity is explicit and it seems to denounce the conflict between the social system and the individual\, between the “normality” behave acted by compliant masses and individual loneliness that converts “normality” itself into madness and alienation.\nBetween the realism of Invernizzi and Migliorini and the expressivity of Tattarletti and Negri\, you will find the elegance of Igor De Marchi’s paintings.\nElegance that is a synthesis of realism and expressiveness. It evokes Renaissance painting in spite of his marked contemporary character: De Marchi’s work can be located between the cracks of conscious and stubborn resistance to the compact\, unavoidable wall of the “hypermass” and its social system.\nDe Marchi says of his work: “I imagine a theatrical stage\, where each character plays himself showing strength and fragility. Black colour represents the unconscious in which past and often removed impulses live”. \nFebruary 2020\nFrancesco Falcolini \n  \nARTISTS\nIgor De Marchi\nStefano Invernizzi\nConstantin Migliorini\nAlessandro Negri\nGiuseppe Tattarletti

SUMMARY:MANY
DESCRIPTION:Francesco Quadri solo exhibition \nIt’s the first time that I can talk about my paintings and describing them I can feel the emotion dominating my words and my art. My works have an instinctive origin which is far from a precise and organic meaning. \nThe movement of a pencil on a sheet of paper represented my first form of communication\, before writing\, maybe before speaking too. I remember the first subjects that grabbed my imagination: chickens. I do not remember at all what triggered the real stimulus to portray one of the most awkward feathered of the Earth\, but certainly on the first attempt\, then through the second and the third\, a growing love was born in reproducing the things of the world. \nThe enthusiasm to duplicate and represent them has grown endlessly\, often through irrationality. Only after many years experimenting\, I began to give an order and a clear direction to my artworks. For this reason my first real exhibition was born\, besides the intuition and generosity of Nicoletta Candiani\, SAC’ owner and art curator\, while putting together some paintings that belong to a common vision. The “Many” shows places\, contexts\, events in which the mass plays the leading role. There are countless individuals within a crowd\, but the main protagonist is the crowd itself. The group\, the mass\, might cause the observer’ exaltation or terror\, but it prevails anyway on individuals. Here is the fascination that leads me to portray situations of this type\, contexts where so many souls and things can coexist\, the so called “Many”. \nSince I started my personal research for “Many”\, I found very useful rigid\, light and smooth supports\, which allowed me to handle them easily\, often working on the table\, or holding the board directly on my knees (to enrich my orthopedist’s wallet)\, and the possibility of operating with various and different techniques. Last but not least\, homogeneity and smoothness allow me to reach the most precise level of line detail. So the wooden boards\, treated plywood\, in particular the lamellar one\, or the multifaceted and fascinating polyplat (which I prefer to call\, for my aesthetic weakness\, “reinforced paper”)\, represent excellent interfaces for my language. \nI use different painting techniques according to the subject I paint. The ink\, distributed by very thin markers (no more than 0.2 mm)\, constitutes the skeleton of each painting. In certain artworks watercolor shading helps me to represent threedimensionality. The acrylic is often used in dense and flat brush strokes to create full-color spaces on which the multitudes of “Many” stand out. An architecture of different materials that live together making the harmony that I have imagined in my mind and in my eyes real. The “Many” are conceived in motion\, they are the transposition of cinematographic frames. Every single “Many” situation depicted represents virtual environments that I will capture in a film one day. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n RIPRESA DELLE ATTIVITA’. 2019. SUMMARY:Free Expression
DESCRIPTION:September 21 – december 15\, 2019 \n“Free Expression” is the first SAC collective contemporary art exhibition\, taking place in Robecchetto con Induno\, Milan. \nSAC art curator\, Nicoletta Candiani\, has studied a particular exhibition setting up in order to enhance every involved artist’s thought. \nThe exhibition basic concept is to let the artists’ creative potential be free to manifest without any constraint. The artist is the real exhibition protagonist\, he is the only one who chooses what to show to the audience. \nDuring her visits in artists’ atelier\, Nicoletta notices the particular effect that certain artworks provoke to her senses. She is often impressed by the ones which are spontaneously created by the artist\, the ones which are described as “made for myself” by their author. She thinks that these artworks are special because they overcome a commercial aim\, personifying their creator thought in a better way. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nARTISTS\nDiego Asperges \nGiulia Bottiani \nGiorgio Figini \nLio \nFrancesca Manetta \nStefano Marangon \nMarta Mezynska \nAlessandro Negri \nFabrizio Vendramin
